Overview
MSing over the past several months, while it should always be “net positive”, the problem is where the money is going.
Often you are converting between dollars to points, even if you are “netting positive”, meaning that there is a cashflow management that you need to control.
Personally this began to be troublesome to me when my volume ramped up and I started getting between 1K, 2K, even 3K in fees in a couple months. So I thought I’d share some my tips on the subject.
Actually, this is also why some people don’t view MS as a money-making scheme, but rather just a way to buy points at a discount. For me though, since points **if convertible to cash** I consider it basically cash since I know I can convert it anytime. Simply choosing to keep it as points as a store-of-value. (Though this does risk devaluation).
